… is a fan of XLR8. Can you handle it?

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

I admit, I am a sucker for guys who look like girls. Zohkos eh?

With all these Korean boy groups sweeping the nation like FT Island, U-Kiss and soon SUPER JUNIOR (Shindong Saranghae!), magpapatalo ba naman ang Pinoy?

They call themselves XLR8 and they debuted on the new Sunday show Party Pilipinas together with U-Kiss. I like the Torio Hideaki guy :3

What do you think guys?

Can they handle the pressure to level up with the other ASIAN pop groups and establish the PPOP (Pinoy Pop)

Ready for a "Robomance"? Spike Jonze (MARRY ME!) film: Im Here - A Love Story In An Absolut World

A Love Story in An Absolut World

These past few days, I am awake during a normal person’s sleeping time.Yes this is the good life.

I think this is also the best time for me to surf endlessly without hassles for anything that pops in mind. No kinky stuff btw, its holy week for the real Christ’s sake.

Of course, Facebook is the main source of my web surf. If I had collected enough tracks from Yeah Yeah Yeahs thru Music Pets by my pet Marlais, I usually just Google to death. (We can be friends at FB if you lovelovelove Music Pets ;> As long its closely related to disco indie pop punk rock genre! )

Then I came across an article at Nylon regarding Spike Jonze. Well all I know of him is he was Karen O’s lover, a splendid filmmaker, an actor and just a perfect guy to have according to my standard. Woot.

It says he directed a music vid for the band Of Montreal (I like them now too). Then when I checked out their Facebook page, they have this link to one of his new film.

With no further ado, PLEASE SEE THIS HELLUVA GOOD MOVIE NOW.

An ample info about the film: “I’m Here is a 30-minute love story about the relationship of two robots living in LA. The film is written and directed by Spike Jonze. Andrew Garfield (Sheldon) and Sienna Guillory (Anne) are in the lead roles, and the soundtrack includes original music by Sam Spiegel and original songs by L.A.- based art musician Aska Matsumiya and other emerging musicians. I’m Here is released on this website this March.”

Its 19th of March to be exact.

Try hooking this with your Facebook so you can invite your friends. Dont skip the INVITATIONS! You shouldnt miss, its part of the fun!

Its a sort of an ad for ABSOLUT but of course you dont have to see booze on the film. Robots getting on with booze, YES.

What? You didnt watch it?

It’s free.

It’s a love story.

It’s an interactive goddamn piece of art.

The music is oh so fantastic. Aska Matsumiya, I cant get enough of There are Many of Us.

Its an ordinary selfless romance film but hell no its not. Who wouldve thought that fem-bots or a first gen cpu robot has the capacity to make you all welled up!

From Makoto Shinkai then Michel Gondry now Adam Spiegel!

Oh men, you all are destined to do films for the quirky desires my shallow heart. Inspire us more about how you see the world.

Oh and comment. Lets interact about it!

Anais Nin Says it All Perfectly

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

“You live like this, sheltered, in a delicate world, and you believe you are living.

Then you read a book… or you take a trip… and you discover that you are not living, that you are hibernating.

The symptoms of hibernating are easily detectable: first, restlessness.

The second symptom (when hibernating becomes dangerous and might degenerate into death): absence of pleasure.

That is all.

It appears like an innocuous illness.

Monotony, boredom, death.

Millions live like this (or die like this) without knowing it.

They work in offices.

They drive a car.

They picnic with their families.

They raise children.

And then some shock treatment takes place, a person, a book, a song, and it awakens them and saves them from death.

Some never awaken.”

Perhaps this is how I would die. Of living my life in the most monotonous way as possible. That all I say is doomed for procrastination.  That all I am saying within me is all but nothing but of endless blah blah blahs. Meaningless meandering which I will hold on as grudge to myself.

I have enough of my setbacks and what-ifs that kept me to where I head on to. I was always unsure of myself though I project an exterior whos totally domineering. It never got me anywhere thus becoming my blockades. It puts me into a position that I can never really ever trust myself of what capabilities I can do. After all, Im a self proclaimed wise ass wanker, so, I must deal with it (?)

Anais Nin is right. I must stop this hibernation. Every one must stop dictating what to do with each of our fucked up lives. That we are to discover who we are. Therefore I must start reading and doing all I wanted since.

Man, if only, somebody could stop pushing me into becoming I dont.
